Who will get an application form for NBI Clearance?

• First time applicant
• Lost personal copy of old NBI Clearance

NBI Clearance Renewal

• Applicants for renewal (original copy only) – subject is present, with or without changes of address and purpose may proceed to Step 1 Data Check then to Renewal Kiosk or proceed to Step 2 Payment, and then to Renewal Kiosk (Image Capture)
• Inside the processing area, proceed to Step 2 Payment
• Please proceed to renewal kiosk for Image Capture
• Application for no hit remark, please proceed to releasing section to claim your NBI CHS. Cert. and have your right thumb print.
• Application with hit remarks are advised to come back at the specified date indicated in your O.R.
  

How to apply for an NBI Clearance

• Get an application form (FPC – Finger Print Card) at the distributor’s desk
• Proceed to fill up area
• Submit your filled up application to Step 1 – Data Check
• Proceed to applicant’s lane near the entrance
• Step 2 – Payment for application inside the processing area

How much does the NBI Clearance cost?

The price depends on the purpose of application:

• Naturalization, Cancellation of ACR, Repatriation – P415.00
• Change of Name, Business License, NFA, SEC, TBC, Adoption, POEA, PRA
• Requirement, Permit to Carry Firearm – P165
• Travel Abroad, Immigration Req., Visa Seaman, Marriage Requirement – P115.00
• Local Employment, Customs Pass, Enlistment AFP, DND, DOT Req., ID
• Purposes and Other Requirement – P115.00
  

What are the requirements?

• 2 Valid ID’s, original copy of old NBI clearance if you are renewing, and your presence. You need to go there in person because they need take a photo of you and your fingerprints.
  
  What are considered valid I.D.’s?
• Voter’s I.D., Postal I.D., SSS I.D., GSIS I.D., PRC License , Driver’s License, Company I.D, Valid Passport, ACR (for aliens), Senior Citizen I.D., Philhealth I.D., Student ID
  
  When will you get the NBI Clearance?
• Your NBI Clearance will be released the same day you apply for in, UNLESS there is a “hit”! You will find out when you can claim your NBI Clearance on Step 5 – Data Entry. They will place a mark at the back of your receipt, and it’s either without hit (you proceed to releasing area) or with hit.
  
  What is a “hit”?
• When you get a “hit” it probably means you share the same name with somebody else. You will have to come back after a week to either claim your NBI Clearance or be interviewed. Refer to the mark at the back of your receipt for the date you have to come back to the NBI Clearance Center.
  

How long is an NBI Clearance valid?

• The validity of your NBI Clearance lasts for one year.

NBI CLEARANCE ONLINE APPLICATION

STEP 1

To use the NBI e-Clearance facility, first make the payment through your GCASH account. NOTE: You will be charged an additional Php 20 for this ePayment transaction.
Example: Local employment Php 115 + Php 20 = Php 135

For those with no GCASH, pay through Globe Payment Centers

After the GCASH transaction, applicants will receive a Payment Reference Number via a text message. If payments are made through GLOBE’s PAYMENT CENTERS, the applicants will get the Payment Reference Number from the GLOBE PAYMENT OUTLET.

After the transaction, applicants will receive their payment Reference Number. Note: Please save this Confirmation message.

STEP 2

Fill up the application form online. Provide the Payment Reference Number and mobile number. For over the counter payment indicate date and time of transaction.

Fill up the necessary information and you must have a valid email address. An email confirmation will be sent to you after validating the information and you need to confirm it by entering the special code sent to you.

   

   

After confirming the email sent to you, you will then be directed to the next step which is the filling up of important information for the NBI Clearance. Make sure that everything is accurate and double check it before submitting it.

   

Once you have finished completing all the details, you are now ready to submit it and click the “Save to Clearance” option. You will then receive another email with the QR code so you can book your schedule for picture taking.

   

After a successful online application, the QR code provided should be printed as proof of the application.

PROCEED TO MAIN NBI CLEARANCE CENTER (U.N. Avenue)

Go to the e-CLEARANCE LANE of the NBI Clearance Center on the confirmed booking date. Bring printed QR code and 1 valid government issued ID supporting the personal information encoded on the online application Ex. Voters ID, Postal ID SSS, GSIS, Passport, Drivers License, Original NSO Birth Certificate, PRC.

• QR code is scanned
• Your Biometric Information will be captured.
• The NBI Clearance and receipt will be printed.
• Proceed to the booked Clearance Center on the scheduled date and time as shown on the booking confirmation text message.
  

How do persons living abroad apply for NBI Clearance?

- Secure NBI clearance application form from the Philippine Embassy/Consulate in the country where applicant resides, else, ask a relative in the Philippines to send application form, which can be secured from the Office of the Identification and Records Division (IRD), 4th Floor, NBI Clearance Building, UN Ave., Manila.

Accomplish the form and ask for assistance in taking your fingerprint impressions (rolled) and have it signed by the one who assisted in the fingerprinting. Attach one (1) 2×2 picture in white background, photocopy of passport, photocopy of Identification Card/s and authorization letter if a relative in the Philippines will submit the application in your behalf. This relative will also be in-charge of sending you your NBI clearance certificate.

If you are sending the application to the Philippines thru mail or forwarders, address same to Ms. Julie Macalit, Mailed Clearance Section, 2nd Floor NBI Clearance Building, U.N. Avenue, Ermita, Manila. If you will send a check, it should be payable to the NBI Director in Philippine currency in the amount of two hundred pesos (P200.00) with drawee bank in the Philippines. If you will send cash, dollars are acceptable, the amount of which, is equivalent to two hundred pesos (P200.00). Your NBI clearance certificate will be mailed to you thru air mail.

How about foreign nationals who need NBI clearance?

- Fill-out the NBI application form for foreigners (red Fingerprint Chart). You will also be required to fill-out the application form for the Biometric Clearance System. Indicate on the application form your name that is reflected on your passport. Attach photocopy of your passport and Alien certificate of registration (ACR).

- Go through the steps of clearance processing, after which, submit application to the Alien Counter, where you will be fingerprinted for rolled impression.

- You will be advised when to claim for your NBI Clearance Certificate.
